Canadian firms in advanced sectors spend much less on R&D than U.S., global peers: Study

In 2021, companies headquartered here “spent five times less than the global average” across nine strategic industries, according to a report from the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation (ITIF), a Washington, D.C.-based think tank.
