Digital Trade Policy Dialogue: Latin America

Nigel Cory gave a presentation at an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Digital Trade Policy Dialogue in Puetro Varas, Chile. The event was hosted by Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United States Agency for International Development. The presentation focused on the key components that Latin American countries (and the region as a whole) need to put in place to build an innovative and competitive digital economy. The presentation was based in part on a report that Cory did for APEC on “Fostering an Enabling Policy Environment for Data-Utilizing Businesses: AI, payments, encryption, and accounting/tax services” and another on “Crafting an Open and Innovative Digital Trade Agenda for Latin America.”
