ITIF convenes coalitions and working groups that bring together leading voices from government, academia, civil society, and industry to exchange ideas and advocate for solutions on the most consequential issues in technology and innovation policy. Some of these groups produce public outputs, others operate as closed forums for expert discussion.

Indo-US Working Group on Technology Policy
ITIF and The Dialogue, a New Delhi-based think tank, convene a Track II working group by bringing together experts from both countries for monthly discussions on issues shaping the U.S.-India technology relationship, including AI governance, export controls, semiconductors, and data policy. Sessions are held under Chatham House rules. Participation is by invitation; express your interest in joining.
Digital Market Action Coalition (DMAC)
ITIF convenes the Digital Market Action Coalition, an action-oriented group of think tanks and civil society organizations supporting federal preemption of state laws to create a unified national framework for digital markets. The coalition meets to discuss key legislative developments as necessary, circulates policy alerts to keep members informed between convenings, and produces joint letters and statements. Sessions are held under Chatham House rules.
Global Trade and Innovation Policy Alliance (GTIPA)
ITIF founded and leads GTIPA, a global network of more than 50 think tanks across 40 countries united around shared principles of innovation-based growth and opposition to innovation mercantilism. Member organizations co-publish research, coordinate on multilateral policy forums including the OECD, G20, and WTO, and convene annually in person to advance a constructive agenda for trade and technology policy. Ground Truth for AI Policy
ITIF's Center for Data Innovation hosts Ground Truth for AI Policy, a monthly speaker series bringing together AI policy professionals for off-the-record sessions with technical experts. Each session focuses on a deep dive on technical topics, such as model evaluations, agentic architectures, semiconductor supply chains, with the goal of grounding policy thinking in technical reality.
Immersive Tech Working Group
ITIF convenes a monthly working group for practitioners and researchers working on policy issues related to immersive technologies, including augmented and virtual reality. Sessions bring together participants from government, civil society, academia, and industry for candid exchange on the regulatory, technical, and governance questions shaping the extended reality space.
