The Economist quoted Nigel Cory on the state of US trade and economic policy, as well as strategic engagement in the Asia-Pacific: "India and Indonesia recently passed privacy laws without strict localization requirements. That was in no small part due to American advocacy. Without such pressure, countries will be more likely to take a nationalistic path."
