Center for Data Innovation called for $10 billion in federal funding over five years on Monday for high-performance computing to meet AI research demands. The Washington-based think tank said the funds should targeted to regions in the US needing mid-range systems as well as minority-serving institutions with an eye to increasing HPC access for women.
