Whisman will engage government, business, and not-for-profit stakeholders in innovation and technology policy as well as assist in promoting ITIF's research and education activities to the broader public.Prior to joining ITIF, Ms. Whisman served as Vice President of HM&CO. In that capacity, she managed the day-to-day outreach and fundraising activities for a host of clients. Previously, Whisman was a Legislative Correspondent in the office of former Senator Paul Sarbanes of Maryland."I am very excited to be joining ITIF and look forward to assisting in promoting their leading-edge research and policy advocacy efforts in Internet, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, and trade policy," Whisman says."Jackie is a tremendously talented individual who will assist us in ramping up our outreach activities and further engaging innovation and technology stakeholders at the national and international level," adds Robert Atkinson, President of ITIF. Whisman received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Mary's College of Maryland, and currently co-chairs the College's Semester in Washington Program and the Washington Chapter Alumni Committee.
