Comments to the NTIA on the Multistakeholder Process to Develop Consumer Privacy Codes of Conduct

ITIF submitted these comments in response to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) request for comment on the “multistakeholder process to develop consumer data privacy codes of conduct.” Primarily these comments address NTIA’s inquiry into what issues should be addressed through the privacy multistakeholder process and how stakeholder discussions of the proposed issues should be structured to ensure openness, transparency, and consensus building.
