In an attempt to create better coordination and coherence in federal energy policy, the Department of Energy has recently taken up expert recommendations to proceed with a department-wide Quadrennial Energy Review. ITIF recently submitted public comments urging a rigorous, innovation-oriented approach that will leverage public and private investment to accelerate energy technology development.
