Stuart Shepherd

Stuart (“Stu”) Shepherd is the Regional Sales Director, Americas located in the Universal Robots A/S subsidiary in the USA. Universal Robots A/S is a wholly owned subsidiary of the publicly traded Teradyne, Inc. of North Reading, Massachusetts. Stu’s career spans more than 39 years in automation, including roles at General Motors, FANUC Robotics, Founder/CEO of Shepherd Solutions (an automation business consulting firm), KUKA Robotics, Güdel AG, and joined Universal Robots in April of 2018. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stu is responsible for P&L, sales, and business development performance in the Americas. Stu is also a Past Chairperson and current Board Member of the Robotic Industries Association (“RIA”), 2018-2020 Chairperson of the Association for Advancing Automation (“A3”), and an Industrial Advisory Council Member to the School of Engineering Technology at Purdue Polytechnic University. Stu resides in Rochester, Michigan, and has been married to Michelle for 34 years. Together they have one son, Matthew (30), a High School Biology Teacher for Detroit Public Schools, and one Daughter, Lexi (27), an OB GYN Resident in Saginaw, Michigan.
