Marielle DeVos
Marielle DeVos was a policy fellow for the Global Trade and Innovation Policy Alliance at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation. Prior to joining ITIF, Marielle worked in the executive office and the Digital Innovation Initiative at the Center for European Policy Analysis as an intern.
Marielle is a third-year undergraduate student at American University’s School of International Service majoring in international studies and minoring in cybersecurity.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 illustrated that Europe is neither as secure nor as prepared as it thinks it is. The European defense industry's fragmentation has come with higher costs and fewer R&D capabilities, making Europe less competitive and less safe.
