Kyle Miller is a Research Analyst at Georgetown’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), where he works on the CyberAI Project. Prior to joining CSET, he was a student research analyst on the CyberAI Project, and a research intern at FireEye and the Institute for the Study of War. Kyle holds an M.A. from Georgetown University’s Security Studies Program, and a B.A. in international relations from West Virginia University.

The in-person panel held on Capitol Hill explored the unique use cases enabled by open models, how open-source AI increases competition across the AI stack, and how it enables a wide range of firms, researchers, and public institutions to build and deploy AI. It also explored what steps policymakers can take to support a secure and thriving open AI ecosystem.
