Jos Berens is a data policy officer at the UN OCHA Centre for Humanitarian Data. Jos contributes to increasing the use and impact of data in the humanitarian sector and his workstream is focused on developing principles, processes, and tools for OCHAs data management as the coordinator of humanitarian response. Over the past 7 years his work has revolved around the ethical and legal considerations associated with the use of digital data for crisis-affected people. Jos holds an LLM in Public International Law from Utrecht University and a BA in Philosophy of a Specific Discipline from Groningen University.
