Eric Wolf is Science Counselor at the German Embassy in Washington, D.C. He works at the interface of research & science policy, international cooperation and diplomacy.

Prior to his current role, Eric spent five years as Policy Advisor at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Berlin, where his responsibilities included serving as Personal Advisor to the State Secretary. He also completed a secondment at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut. Earlier in his career, he took on policy advisory roles at Brandenburg's Ministry of Science, Research and Culture and at the Leibniz Association's EU Office in Brussels.

Eric holds an M.A. in Science Studies and a B.A. in History, Economics, and Business Administration from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
