Brian Darmody is CEO of the Association of University Research Parks (AURP). Previously, he was associate vice president for corporate and foundation relations at the University of Maryland. Earlier, he was associate vice president for research and economic development at the University of Maryland and special assistant vice chancellor for technology development with the University System of Maryland.

He has served on many national and state boards, including Fraunhofer USA, the Maryland Venture Authority, the Technology Council of Maryland, and the Maryland Economic Development Association.

Darmody holds a Juris Doctor and a baccalaureate degree from UMD. He has served as a staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Health Care Financing Administration Office of Attorney-Advisor, and the Maryland General Assembly.
