Daniel Castro joined an expert panel to discuss “Policy, Governance, and Ethical Considerations in AI” at the Forum on Engineered AI Systems, hosted by the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering and the National Academy of Engineering Forum on Complex Unifiable Systems. The conference addressed the promise and the perils of engineered AI systems in six sessions covering themes such as: computer vision and natural language processing; networks, control, and optimization; policy, governance, and ethical considerations; robotics and autonomy; material science; and aerospace, electrical and mechanical systems.
