Growth With the Right Balance: The Future of the Federal Energy RD&D Budget
PRESENTATIONS
Event Summary
Bipartisan momentum is building behind expanding public investment in clean energy innovation to strengthen U.S. competitiveness and combat climate change. But to accomplish these important national goals, any such expansion must be accompanied by a rebalancing of the federal energy research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) portfolio—across topics, stages of innovation, federal agencies, research partners, and regions of the United States.
ITIF hosted a discussion of the future of federal energy RD&D investment with experts from ITIF, Columbia University’s Center for Global Energy Policy (CGEP), and elsewhere, with opening remarks by Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR).
