IT, Data, and Economic Growth

Rob Atkinson was one of four experts invited to discuss the digital economy and policy at the 2016 U.S-China Joint Committee on Commerce and Trade on November 22. His presentation focused on the benefits of widespread adoption of IT to Chinese productivity and the costs of policies that limit access to IT, including requirements that data be stored locally and restrictive policies regarding cloud computing.
