The UK’s Digital Road to Recovery
Event Summary
Please join the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) and the London School of Economics (LSE) to discuss a new joint report that analyses the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in aiding economic recovery in the UK. This report will provide a detailed analysis and estimate of the short-term impact on employment and the longer term impact on the economy of investing in three critical digital technologies: broadband Internet, intelligent transportation systems, and a “smart” energy grid.
Government action to support these technologies will contribute to the UK’s economic renewal by creating new jobs, fostering future growth, and directing resources to strategic investment in technologies that will lead towards a low carbon economy and society.
