ITIF Welcomes Confirmation of Arielle Roth to Head NTIA
WASHINGTON—Following the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Arielle Roth to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information—thereby heading the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) and overseeing the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program—the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) released the following statement from ITIF’s director of broadband and spectrum policy, Joe Kane:
We congratulate Assistant Secretary Roth on her confirmation at a critical time for NTIA. Her leadership and expertise will be critical to ensuring the BEAD program can efficiently and effectively address the remaining causes of the digital divide.
She will also be a key voice on spectrum policy as the United States seeks to enhance both commercial spectrum capacity, national security, and American leadership at the International Telecommunication Union.
