To Do: Educate Developing Nations on Digital Regulation

Expand funding efforts to educate developing nations on digital regulation and its repercussions.
Details
While some nations knowingly engage in digital mercantilism, some policymakers, specifically in developing economies, are not fully aware of the harm their policies cause to the digital ecosystem. The U.S. State and Commerce Departments should be allocated money from Congress to develop a stronger digital policy technical assistance program for these nations. This should include increasing funding for engagement with developing nations, such as expanding the digital attaché program and pressing the global narrative as to why the United States’ pro-innovation approach to digital policy is best for countries looking to thrive in the digital economy.
