“Should the EU go ahead and unilaterally change these tax rules, it would almost certainly violate the terms of international treaties,” said ITIF’s Joe Kennedy in Politico EU. “The United States would be especially harmed. Because U.S. companies could immediately deduct any increase in European taxes from their U.S. tax liability.”
