Sissi de la Peña
Sissi is the founder of The DoT Network, a spin-off of the Mexican Academy of Cybersecurity and Digital Law (AMCID), and a strategic leader in the Latin American digital landscape specializing in AI governance, regulation, and the digital economy. Her background includes being a founding member of the National Alliance for Artificial Intelligence (ANIA), a 2024-2025 Tech Policy Fellow at Berkeley, and having led operations for the Latin American Internet Association, representing leading technology companies. From Mexico's National Digital Strategy, she led negotiations for the digital trade chapter of the USMCA/TMEC and various international digital initiatives.
With nine years of initial training as a consultant in the United Kingdom and a Master's degree in Transport Planning from the University of Leeds, Sissi also collaborated with the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C., before developing a career connecting government policies, international organizations, and private sector interests. Her approach as a connector of the dots transforms visions into concrete actions that drive safe and responsible digital transformation in Latin America. She complements her professional life with passions such as cycling and running, which reflect her characteristic dynamism.
