Sicco is an expert in science, technology and innovation policy with a broad network in that area in Germany and the EU. He recently is working on and has published about Industrie 4.0, data economy, artificial intelligence and new business models in industry. Sicco is active in many committees and working groups in associations like the BDI and ZVEI, where he is chairman of the working group on data economy. He has recently published about data intermediaries, new business models based on AI and about AI ethics.
