Ron Whitfield
Dr. Ronald Whitfield is an Executive Professor and founding director of the Business Sustainability Initiative at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University. Ron is a seasoned economist and business consultant with expertise in techno-economics modeling and analysis, strategic planning, international trade, litigation support, and market/technology assessments. His experience spans the chemical and plastics, energy, and related industries. He has consulted to a wide variety of businesses, government agencies, trade associations, law firms, and investment companies. With over thirty years of experience, he has assisted clients by combining a strong background in economic methodologies with creative and practical business strategies to solve a diverse set of economic and environmental issues. Prior to joining the faculty at Northeastern, he had a successful consulting career at Charles River Associates and Data Resources, Inc (now part of S&P Global Inc.). He holds a PhD in Business and Applied Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA (with Honors) from Tulane University.
