Paul Kaplan

Paul Kaplan has been a member of the biomedical research community for more than 30 years. He started his career in cancer research, earning a Ph.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and continuing with a postdoctoral fellowship at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and faculty appointments at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. In 1990 he moved into Industry and has held various research and management positions, most recently as Senior Director of Program Management at Genzyme Corporation, a Sanofi Company where he is currently responsible for guiding several drug development programs. Along the way, he completed an M.B.A. at Northeastern University. Paul is a named inventor on 3 U.S. patents and has published more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers.
