Palak serves as a Data Scientist at US Ignite where she focuses on making insights from data to help with policy making. She holds a dual master degree from University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Landscape Architecture and Urban Spatial Analytics. Her work at US Ignite includes looking into different data sources that are IoT based to create insights and models that help stakeholders with their planning and decision making. Prior to US Ignite, Palak worked as an architect in India for 2 years designing for underserved communities through CSR projects. During her masters, she focused on research that looked into understanding the climate and global dynamics between the global north and south. She believes that enactable policies should be developed and employed across the country, reflective of the myriad spatial, social, cultural, political, and morphological agents that constitute the place.
