Matt McFarland is the editor of the Washington Post's Innovations blog, where he writes and edits stories about emerging and disruptive technologies. His areas of interest include drones, artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, machine learning, and virtual reality. He was previously a sports editor at The Post and is a graduate of Dickinson College. The Arlington, Va. native resides in Washington, D.C.
