Máté Négyessy
Máté Négyessy is a third-year international relations student at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest, Hungary.
His interest in social science, communication, and design has provided him with international opportunities, such as the Erasmus+ program (Greece, Italy, Germany), where he gained valuable insights into global challenges, including sustainable development. He completed his academic internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, with a desire to learn more about the basic structure of multilateral relations and diplomacy as an intern for the UN department.
In the summer of 2025, Máté joined ITIF’s competition policy team. He supports work related to how competition and innovation policy functions across jurisdictions, focusing on how it intersects with international cooperation, diplomacy, and trade policy.
