Clean Air Task Force

Lindsey Baxter Griffith leads policy work with Congress and government agencies in Washington, DC as the Federal Policy Director at Clean Air Task Force, a non-profit working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing rapid development and deployment of low-carbon energy technologies through research and analysis, public advocacy leadership, and partnership. She has more than a decade of experience working on climate change and energy issues. She is also the Executive Director of Clean Air Task Force – Action.

Prior to joining the Clean Air Task Force, Lindsey was a policy advisor to Senator Edward J. Markey of Massachusetts. Her work included developing legislation to reach net-zero economy-wide carbon emissions, to accelerate green finance, taxation, and banking, to reduce air pollution, and to innovate energy systems in buildings, industry, transportation, and the power sector. While in the Senate, she played a key role in advancing the Green New Deal. Lindsey previously served as the acting Chief of Staff in the Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis at the Department of Energy.
