Kyungjin Song
Kyungjin Song is The Asia Foundation’s country representative in South Korea. She has over twenty-five years of experience in the public and private sectors, international affairs, and media. She is our first female and first Korean country representative for The Asia Foundation in South Korea.
Prior to joining The Asia Foundation, Kyungjin served the Government of the Republic of Korea in various capacities. She worked from 2008 to 2009 as a special assistant to the Special Economic Adviser to the President in the Office of the President. She served from 2009 to 2011, as chief secretary and special adviser to the chairman of the Presidential Committee for G20 Seoul Summit in the Office of the President. She oversaw the entire production of the official White Paper of the 2010 G20 Seoul Summit. For these endeavors, she was honored with the Republic of Korea Government’s Order of Civil Service Merit.
