John Corrigan
John Corrigan is the Senior Director for Trade and Industrial Strategy at Silverado Policy Accelerator. In this role, Mr. Corrigan develops Silverado’s net-zero trade policy proposals to maximize broad-based U.S. growth and employment, including through border carbon measure design and complementary initiatives to decarbonize traded goods and services. Prior to joining Silverado, he served as Senior International Economist at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, where he contributed strategic guidance and analysis to U.S. trade initiatives to combat climate change including the Global Arrangement for Sustainable Steel and Aluminum. At USTR he also conducted economic and statistical analyses to advance U.S. negotiations and enforcement actions, often with a focus on trading partners’ industrial policies. Prior to joining USTR, John conducted trade remedy investigations involving metals and other industrial products at the U.S. Department of Commerce and advanced U.S. business interests in Southeast Asia at the US-ASEAN Business Council. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish Literature from Lafayette College and master’s degrees in Global Economy and Strategy from Yonsei University and Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
