John Calverley

John is responsible for global Economics Research and provides analysis of key global themes and markets. Previously, he was Head of North American Research. John frequently speaks at conferences and appears on TV. He has written several books, including When Bubbles Burst: Surviving the Financial Fallout. John was previously Chief Economist and Strategist at American Express Bank (London), following earlier experience at The Economist Intelligence Unit and HM Treasury. He attended Cambridge University and Washington University (St. Louis). He is a CFA Institute consultant. He was Chairman of the UK Society for Business Economists and a Council Member of SUERF.
