Professor Jason Potts is an innovation economist at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. He is currently an Australian Research Council Future Fellow, and previous winner of the Joseph A. Schumpeter Prize for his work on evolutionary economic theory. His current research focuses on the governance of innovation collaboration, and on strategic innovation policy. He is the author of over 60 articles and 5 books on economics of innovation and creative industries, and is a regular contributor to Australian media on economic policy.

Please join ITIF as it releases a seminal new report ranking 56 nations on the extent to which their policies either contribute to or detract from global innovation. The event also will discuss what countries, individually and collectively, need to do to enact innovation-based growth policies that move toward a more effective global innovation system that maximizes commonly shared global prosperity and positions humanity to better deal with grand challenges.
