Energy & Environment Government Relations, Lockheed Martin

Cathy Snyder joined Lockheed Martin in 2002. She currently serves as the Government Relations Vice President for Energy & Environment at Lockheed Martin Washington Operations (2009-current). She supports federal, state, international, and commercial customers for strategic business initiatives in the energy generation, efficiency, information management, environmental management and sustainability businesses. Her portfolio also includes government relations across the U.S. Department of Energy and its National Laboratories, Departments of Interior, Agriculture, EPA, NRC, FERC, and utilities. Prior to her current appointment, Cathy has held positions as Vice President of Government Relations for Homeland Security at Washington Operations (2007-2009), and as the Director of Business Development for Lockheed Martin Information Technology (2002-2007).


Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Cathy held senior level positions with the State of Maryland,Department of the Environment (MDE) for more than 22 years where she last served as the Director of Operations for the Agency from 1995-2002.

She was elected to the Board of Directors for the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) in 2010-current. She serves on the Global Advisory Committee for Women and the Green Economy.She also served on the Board of Directors for the Nurses Organization for Veterans Affairs from 2006-2010.
