U.S. Congress

Congressman Bob Latta represents Ohio's Fifth Congressional District and is currently serving his fifth term in the United States House of Representatives. He serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has wide jurisdiction on legislative matters, including energy policy, telecommunications, food and drug safety, public health research, and interstate and foreign commerce. He is Vice-Chairman of the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, as well as a member of the Subcommittees on Energy and Power and Environment and the Economy. In addition, Congressman Latta serves as a Deputy Whip and Co-Chair of the Congressional Propane Caucus.

Throughout his tenure, Congressman Latta has advocated for the interests of the people of Northwest and West Central Ohio, while also promoting policies that further economic prosperity and job creation throughout the country. His top priorities include balancing the budget, reducing the national debt and working toward commonsense government reforms.

Congressman Latta is an avid sportsmen and lifelong resident of Northwest Ohio. He and his wife Marcia live in Bowling Green with their two daughters, Elizabeth and Maria.
