Event Summary

Innovation and the intellectual property (IP) rights that secure it are key enablers toward meeting global health challenges. In fact, throughout the developing world, stronger IP rights are proving foundational to unlocking latent innovation potential within entrepreneurs and diverse biological ecosystems.

Please join ITIF, the Geneva Network, and the University of Akron School of Law for an event releasing a new report profiling 24 pioneering case studies from five regions—Latin America, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Middle East and North Africa—where IP rights have enabled innovators to create impactful health solutions, particularly in the developing world.

The event will bring together policymakers, entrepreneurs, and experts to discuss the vital role of IP in life sciences innovation. The event will explore how IP can help address unmet global health needs and feature discussions on how robust IP systems fuel innovation, secure investments, and scale health technologies to address critical global health challenges.
