Book Talk on “Democratizing Our Data: A Manifesto,” With Julia Lane

ITIF’s Center for Data Innovation hosted a conversation with Julia Lane about her new book Democratizing Our Data: A Manifesto. The book argues that public data is crucial to a well-functioning democracy, but America’s public data infrastructure is crumbling. To address this, a new framework focused on automation, transparency, and accountability is needed to produce high-quality public data that can serve the public good.
