Wednesday, June 24, 2020 - 12:00 PM to Thursday, June 25, 2020 - 12:59 PM EST
Video Webinar

Event Summary

Autonomous modes of delivery have begun to show their potential during the pandemic, helping transport items ranging from COVID-19 test kits to bed linens to groceries. In the future, autonomous transportation, whether across the nation or down the street, through delivery robots, drones, and autonomous trucks and trains will reduce costs and congestion while increasing convenience and safety. Nonetheless, the technologies still face several hurdles, including both national and local regulations, before businesses fully adopt them and consumers fully accept them.

ITIF hosted a video webinar to discuss the opportunities and challenges of expanding autonomous goods transportation and delivery in the United States.
