Gregg Rothschild

Gregg Rothschild is a Managing Director in The Glover Park Group’s Government Affairs Division. He joined GPG after a significant tenure as a senior aide in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. At GPG, Gregg represents a broad range of well-known companies in regulated industries, particularly those that operate in the telecommunications and technology space. He designs and helps execute political and legislative strategies to ensure a positive legislative or regulatory outcome.Before joining GPG, Gregg was the Chief Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. In this capacity, Gregg advised then-Chairman John Dingell and the Democratic Members of the Committee on the full range of matters that come before the Committee including health care, energy, telecommunications and media issues, food and drug safety and consumer protection. For the myriad of bills within the Committee’s jurisdiction, Gregg devised strategies and tactics for advancing such legislation through Committee and the House floor. He was charged with directing communications with the House and Senate Democratic Leadership and with managing legislative negotiations with the Senate.Prior to his most recent service in the House, Gregg worked at Verizon Communications where he was Vice President and Policy Counsel, Federal Government Relations. In that capacity, Gregg represented Verizon and Verizon Wireless before the US Congress on all matters involving telecommunications and the mass media.Before joining Verizon, Gregg worked on Capitol Hill for nearly nine years, first, as a Legislative Assistant and then Legislative Director to Senator John F. Kerry, managing the Senator’s legislative staff and acting as the chief advisor to the Senator on the full range of domestic issues. He then served as the Senior Telecommunications and Media Counsel on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where he was the senior advisor to then-Ranking Member Dingell and Democratic Members of the Committee on all telecommunications and media issues.Prior to his work on Capitol Hill, Gregg was an associate for two law firms in downtown D.C.: Patton Boggs, where he was a member of the Business Law Practice Group and Ginsburg, Feldman & Bress, where he was a member of the Telecommunications Practice Group.
