> *Today’s executive order takes a constructive approach to addressing AI-related cybersecurity risks. The administration has rightly rejected the false choice between AI innovation and security—the United States can and must do both. This is a positive step toward more unified, national AI infrastructure as advanced AI systems become increasingly more complex, along with their capabilities to identify software vulnerabilities.*

> *As the EO is further refined and implemented, policymakers should focus on strengthening cyber defenses and improving resilience across government and critical infrastructure, as well as expanding access to trusted allies to bolster national security. The administration’s commitment to expanding AI-enabled cybersecurity tools, partnering with frontier AI developers, and explicitly rejecting mandatory licensing requirements will help enhance national security while preserving America’s leadership in AI innovation.*
