# ITIF Supports FCC in Net Neutrality Amicus Brief

WASHINGTON—The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), the world’s top-ranked science and tech policy think tank, [filed an amicus brief](/publications/2018/10/18/amicus-curiae-brief-us-court-appeals-dc-circuit-support-respondents-mozilla) with the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in support of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in its ongoing net neutrality litigation. ITIF released the followed statement from Director of Broadband and Spectrum Policy Doug Brake:

*ITIF is proud to support the FCC with its analysis on some of the questions presented in *Mozilla v. FCC. *Net neutrality demands the stability of a compromise legislative solution that gives all Internet stakeholders confidence they can scale their offerings without interference. But the notion that the FCC lacked solid policy justifications for the Restoring Internet Freedom order is absurd. There is good reason to believe Title II depressed investment in broadband infrastructure, and the overly restrictive conduct rules would have unneccessarily limited innovation in real-time applications.*
