# FCC Zero Rating Report Minimizes Benefit to Competition and Consumers

WASHINGTON—The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), a leading science and tech policy think tank, today released the following statement from Doug Brake, ITIF telecom policy analyst, regarding a report on zero rating from the FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau:

*Let’s hope the next FCC recognizes the benefit of genuinely new business models bringing additional competition in video distribution. We should not discourage models that by any measure increase the options to access Internet services, functionally increase video competition, and lower expenses for consumers.*
