The availability of legal, digital content has surged over the last decade and created new opportunities for consumers and businesses alike. Individuals now have more choices than ever in how they get online access to movies, TV shows, books, music and more. At the same time new business models are expanding opportunities for content dissemination and business development, opening up new avenues for entrepreneurs and content creators.

The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) will examine this new environment and its implications as part of the panel discussion **"The Evolution of Digital Content," on Tuesday, October 29 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at ITIF, 1101 K Street, NW, Suite 610A**. Panelists at this event will discuss how the market for digital content will continue to evolve and what impact these changes will have on content producers, publishers, technology companies and consumers.

"The explosion of services such as iTunes, Amazon, and Netflix has created a plethora of legal digital content options for consumers, while transforming the delivery model for TV, movies, books and music," notes Daniel Castro, Senior Analyst with ITIF and organizer of the event. "This panel will look at the impacts of this new environment on consumers and industry and discuss what is needed to ensure access to high quality content for consumers as well as a profitable economic model for content generators and producers."

The event, moderated by Castro, will feature David Israelite, President and CEO of the National Music Publishers Association, Lee Knife, Executive Director of the Digital Media Association, Zahavah Levine, Head of Content Partnerships at Google Play, and John McCoskey, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with the Motion Picture Association of America.

Lunch will be provided and the event is free and open to the public. To learn more or to register, visit [/events/evolution-digital-content](/events/evolution-digital-content).
