US Innovation and Competition Act Will Help America Stay Ahead of China, Says ITIF
WASHINGTON—Following the agreement of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to go to conference on the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act, the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), the leading think tank for science and technology policy, released the following statement from Rob Atkinson, president of ITIF:
The United States is facing the stiffest economic and technological competition it has ever faced with China. Given that reality, the news that Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Schumer have agreed to conference the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act is good news.
The provisions in the Senate version, some of which are based on ITIF proposals, will help ensure that the United States stays ahead of China in the race for the future.
