Why Secretary Perry’s Flip-Flop on Agency He Now Leads Is a Good Thing
Energy Secretary Rick Perry once proposed eliminating the very department he now heads. He has since expressed his regret about this, recognizing the critical work being done there, writes David Hart in The Hill. Unfortunately, major budget cuts could gut key programs in enabling the nation’s transition from dirty to clean energy. Perry should work to ensure that others in the White House and Congress come to the same realization he did about his department’s vital work.
