Prince George’s County ‘Should Stop This Wireless Tax Hike’

May 5, 2015

Residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland, are facing a 50 percent increase in wireless taxes, which would increase the average customer's bill by more than a quarter. Beyond the extra tax burden, ITIF's Alan McQuinn writes in the PG County Gazette that these particular types of levies are harmful and should be eliminated because they reduce use of digital services and make it harder for low-income and minority residents to access the Internet.
