The Data Economy is a Rich Source of High-Paying Jobs
In a piece for the blog Master’s in Data Science, Josh New highlights the explosion of job opportunities in data science and analysis, noting that the Department of Commerce now estimates data jobs make up 7.8 percent of all employment in the United States. To take full advantage of this opportunity, policymakers need to do more to create a truly data-literate workforce. This includes expanding enrollment in STEM disciplines while supporting the development of massive open online courses for current students and those already in the workforce.
