As the United States clean energy economy continues to slowly grow, the Midwest, is taking a prominent role in accelerating its development. ITIF Senior Analyst Matthew Stepp sat down with two leading groups, the Clean Energy Trust and the Energy Foundry, while in Chicago as part of the Millennial Trains Project. Both organizations have unique beginnings, but sit together at the center of the Midwest’s burgeoning energy innovation ecosystem, aiming to bridge the valleys-of-death and move breakthrough clean energy technologies to market.
