Wes Hambrick is the Executive Director of the Texas Office of State-Federal Relations. Governor Greg Abbott appointed him to this position in January 2019 and he has served the state since 2015. The Office of State-Federal Relations is the state's advocate in Washington, D.C., representing state government with the administration, Congress, and federal agencies to advocate the interests of Texas. Over the past eight years, Wes has worked on numerous issues for Texans that recently include leading the state-federal response to the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as the Texas “Infrastructure Coordinator” to implement the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and working with Congress and federal agencies on the passage and implementation of the CHIPS Act. Prior to working for Governor Abbott, Wes worked in the United States Senate for Senator John Cornyn.
