Tobias Miethaner

Dr Tobias Miethaner has been Head of the Digital Society Directorate-General at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure since August 2014. Before that, he worked first as a legal advisor and head of the policy and party work unit of the Executive Committee of the Christian Social Union party (CSU). After graduating with a law degree from Regensburg and Aberdeen University in 2004, he completed a two-year practical legal training in Regensburg and Cape Town. From 2006 until 2008, Dr Miethaner then did a doctorate and worked as an academic assistant to Professor Dr Hand-Christoph Grigoleit. After completing his doctorate, he worked as a public prosecutor at the prosecutor's office München II from 2008 to 2011.
